Master Degrees (Research) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for research, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications. This is a specialised research course designed to advance knowledge in selected areas of the business law discipline through research and analysis.
Structure
This course is studied as a research degree. The content of the degree should be determined in consultation with the Head of School, Curtin Law School. Students without prior studies in research methods and statistical data analysis may be required to undertake relevant preparatory units. This will increase the stated course duration. Applicants interested in this course should contact the Head of School prior to enrolment to discuss the proposed research to identify if a suitable supervisor is available.

Standard entry requirements
Specifically, applicants require an undergraduate degree or equivalent in business, economics, commerce or a related field and an appropriate Graduate Diploma in Commerce, or an appropriate first or upper second class honours degree, or a Bachelor of Law degree with business or legal practice experience. A course weighted average of 70 per cent in the Graduate Diploma in Commerce is required by applicants commencing without an appropriate honours or Bachelor of Law degree.
