Charles Sturt's three-year Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) may be used as a pathway to the Bachelor of Psychology, or you can graduate ready to work in one of the many fields where psychological knowledge is highly valued.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent


192 points (normally 24 subjects). The 24 subjects are made up as follows: a core of 13 psychology subjects; a minor of 6 subjects, at least one of which is at Level 3; Introductory Sociology; Social Inequality; 3 elective subjects (5 if the minor is sociology).

Charles Sturt University frequently recognises prior learning including study at other institutions in many of its degrees. Each request for credit is individually assessed prior to the commencement of the course. Honours year is available.

To practise as a psychologist, graduates must be registered with the relevant State/Territory psychologist registration board. The minimum training requirement for registration is a 4 year tertiary qualification in psychology, followed by 2 years of full-time supervised experience or equivalent post graduate qualifications (mandatory in NT).
