Biomedical science is the interface between science and medicine. It is the science of how the body works, what happens when it goes wrong – and why – and is the critical backbone of scientific developments and advances in medicine and healthcare. The Bachelor of Biomedical Science is a broad-based degree designed to offer a pathway to medicine, allied health and scientific research degrees. The program will develop your understanding of the molecular, cellular, anatomical, and physiological processes that occur in the human body. You will be working in the laboratories right from your first week, analysing case studies and applying problem-solving techniques in a variety of clinical, research and allied healthcare settings. You will also develop important health communication skills.

Further information
Bond University provides staff throughout Australia to assist students in completing their application. Students required to undertake bridging subjects in one or both disciplines (for example Introduction to Chemistry and/or Elementary Maths) would usually do so in their first semester, however, completion of this program will take longer than six semesters. Alternately, students may elect to complete an equivalent Chemistry unit at any recognised Australian tertiary institution prior to entry. Applicants who do not receive an offer may apply for entry into the Bachelor of Health Sciences and transfer after the satisfactory completion of 1-2 semesters.
