Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) Scholarship

The scholarship provides support to an outstanding student to undertake the Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) at Adelaide Central School of Art. Supported by the Arkaba Hotel Commission, the scholarship will be awarded to a successful applicant as a contribution to study-related expenses. The BVA (Hons) is a one year full-time program open to high-achieving students that have completed an undergraduate degree in visual art. The program provides students with an opportunity to extend their artistic practice and develop their research skills and understanding of contemporary art. Under the guidance of a supervisor, students will engage in practice-led research, utilising a range of methodologies to develop an original body of artwork and corresponding exegesis. The BVA (Hons) program equips students to pursue careers as practicing artists and provides a pathway to post-graduate research programs. The BVA (Hons) may only be studied on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
Applicants must: have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in visual art (or an equivalent qualification) with a credit average or higher; be Australian citizens or permanent residents; and be successful in obtaining a place in the BVA (Honours). Applicants can apply for the BVA (Honours) and the scholarship at the same time.
