This program focuses on delivering knowledge and skills in computer networking, application development and computer-based software to meet current IT industry needs. Our aim is for graduates to develop a broad and coherent body of knowledge in the underlying principles and concepts of information technology. It aims to provide students with the opportunity to explore and identify critical IT industry demands and to understand how these demands are met. The program is designed to produce graduates who have a strong industry focus and who have demonstrated the full range of knowledge and skills grained through a relevant project in the final year. It also prepares the candidate for IT industry certifications in the fields of networking, systems administration and programming.

Completion of senior high school to the Australian Year 12 or equivalent Mathematics Standard: Mathematics & Statistics (Australian Year 11 equivalent) IELTS band score of 6.0 or equivalent, with no band lower than 5.5. or equivalent

VIT's resource centre includes a Higher Education electronic library that allows students to access over 1,000 full-text e-Journals, plus 2,500 e-books.
