Standard entry requirements
- Bachelor degree
- An applicant is expected to demonstrate completion of at least a 3-year Bachelor's degree in Australia or equivalent with a high Grade Point Average or excellent results
- Postgraduate qualifications will be evaluated according to the nature of the relevant degree
- Applicants must submit a statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) which includes a summary of prior work experience and reasons for applying for the course
- The College Dean or delegate(s) will evaluate this statement and take it into consideration in selection

Study pathways
Graduates who have been unsuccessful in gaining entry in the Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) (BLGE) may gain entry into the Bachelor of Laws undergraduate program (BLAW), and potentially apply at a later stage for transfer into BLGE on the basis of excellent academic results in the Bachelor of Laws. An applicant may further be required to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.

Further information
All applicants are encouraged to complete the law supplementary form which may be used to adjust the Selection Rank. Students in any Bachelor of Laws may apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree once they have completed a minimum 192 credit points and have attained an average mark of Distinction or above i.e. 70-100%. Applicants will be assessed on the highest grades achieved in the top 12 Law units. Students will be further assessed on an outline of a proposed thesis topic and availability of a college based or college affiliated supervisor. Successful applicants will enrol in both Advanced Research Legal Methods and Advanced Legal Research Dissertation instead of 24 credit points of law electives.
