This program is designed to provide students with the flexibility and the professional development that is required to make an informed decision about their choice of career in the business field. It is a three year course comprising of a common first year that engages students through a number of real world business challenges. The choice of majors and minors commences in the second year.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent or VCE qualification; Units 3 and 4 - a study score of a least 25 in English (ESL) or 20 in any other English


288 credit points: 8 units of First year Core Business units; 8 units major studies including the Applied Business Challenge capstone unit; 8 units of either a 2nd major or 4 units of a discipline minor and 4 units of a breadth Minor including the International Business Challenge unit.

Victoria University is the only university in Australia to use the block teaching model, which has been in operation throughout Sweden and parts of North America for more than four decades.

First-year and second-year students at Victoria University complete one subject every four weeks, are assessed, and then proceed to the next four-week unit. Immersion in each subject allows students to master it, rather than juggling four units at once. From 2020, all students will be taught in this way.

Victoria University is one of only six Australian universities to combine higher education and vocational and further education with its Victoria University Polytechnic, which is based on multiple university campuses. The Polytechnic creates pathways direct to the workforce or to university degrees.

VU College offers English language courses, pathway diplomas and courses for international students at its Melbourne and Sydney campuses as well as offshore with international education partners.
