The Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) requires the successful completion of 144 credit points that comprises of 114 credit points of core subjects and 30 credit points of elective subjects from the Law Elective Schedule listed below.

Standard entry requirements

To be eligible for admission into this degree you need to have completed an undergraduate degree. The UOW School of Law requires a minimum average mark of 70% (or GPA/WAM equivalent). If an applicant has a mark that is lower, then the school may consider other factors such as:The nature of any previous course of study and the subjects undertaken thereinRelevant professional experienceAny personal statement provided by the applicant.

Recognition

Admission to professional legal practice in NSW is subject to the requirements of professional legal training (PLT).

Study pathways

UOW offers a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice which provides the PLT qualification for admission. There is a provision for students to undertake up to half their PLT training as part of their Bachelor of Laws degree.
