Structure

The Bachelor of International Studies - Bachelor of Laws requires the successful completion of 240 credit points as specified below:All compulsory Law subjects for the Bachelor of Laws (114 credit points);30 credit points of electives from the Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) elective list - see Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) for elective subjects;All core subjects for the Bachelor of International Studies, except for ASSH101 (18 credit points);One of the majors listed for the Bachelor of International Studies (48 credit points);A minor in a language other than English or the International Linguistics and Literature minor (24 credit points);Electives to bring the total number of credit points completed to 240;Note:* No more than 90 credit points at 100 level.* Where any subjects have the prefix LAW, the equivalent Bachelor of Laws subjects (LLB) must be substituted.SOUTH WESTERN SYDNEYThe Bachelor of International Studies - Bachelor of Laws requires the successful completion of 240 credit points as specified below:All compulsory Law subjects for the Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) (114 credit points);30 credit points of electives from the Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) elective list - see Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Entry) for elective subjects;All core subjects for the Bachelor of International Studies at South West Sydney except for ASSH101 and ELL 182 (24 credit points);One of the majors listed for the Bachelor of International Studies at South West Sydney (48 credit points);One of the minors listed for the Bachelor of International Studies at South West Sydney (24 credit points).Note:* No more than 90 credit points at 100 level.**Students interested in studying this degree part-time should consult with the Law Head of Students by contacting askuow@uow.edu.au#Students commencing in Spring will undertake their first session in the Bachelor of International Studies, before completing their first year of Law in their second year of enrolment.Students can complete LLB3396 Legal Internship Program once the pre-requisite requirements are satisfied. Standard entry requirements

Applicants need to have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to the completion of 13 years of schooling in Australia.

Recognition

By completing your law degree at UOW, you are completing an academic qualification that is recognised for admission as a lawyer in Australia, subject to completing state-approved Practical Legal Training (PLT).
