Advance your academic research skills in surgery and develop technical skills in a simulated surgical environment. The UWA Master of Surgery (MS) course is a unique and innovative program for junior doctors who are pursuing a career in Surgery. In addition to undertaking academic competencies, students gain practical experience by participating in advanced surgical skills workshops in a specialised training lab environment.

Entry Requirements:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from UWA or equivalent and minimum of 2 years' postgraduate professional experience and enrolment in a surgical traineeship through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Surgical Education and Training Program; or be qualified as a surgeon with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent; or qualified as a medical practitioner and be desirous of an academic career in surgery and be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Western Australia.


The course consists of units to a total value of 72 points.
