Established in 1911, UWA is recognised internationally as a top 100 research-intensive university. Its main campus is located next to the beautiful Swan River and just a few kilometres from the Perth CBD in Western Australia.

UWA has a broad research and teaching profile across a wide range of disciplines. Our course structure is based on globally successful models and is designed to ensure students gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in an international workplace. We offer a choice of more than 65 majors across five undergraduate degrees in Arts, Commerce, Biomedical Science, Science and Philosophy (Honours), ensuring subjects can be combined in a way to match career goals and personal interests. Students can also pursue a professional qualification at postgraduate level.

Our Perth campus is located on the Swan River, just 10 minutes from the city centre and close to many stunning beaches. The campus offers a range of cafes, bookshops, banks, a vibrant cultural precinct, social clubs and societies, a supportive Student Guild, and on- and off-campus accommodation options.

For international students, Perth’s warm, sunny climate and relaxed outdoor lifestyle make it the perfect location to reside while studying. Western Australia is also in the same time zone as many Asian countries, making it easier to keep in touch with family and friends.

We encourage all our domestic students to spend a semester on exchange and broaden their degrees by travelling overseas and studying at one of our 180+ internationally renowned partner institutions.

Whatever your field and degree level, you’ll have access to the university’s strong industry connections and alumni group. You’ll also gain practical first-hand work experience, get invited to a number of networking events, and in many cases receive training to prepare for the world of work.

Check out UWA’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram accounts for live updates about the university and the research we’re conducting.
