Master of Exercise Science (By Thesis and Coursework)

This program enables advanced study or research majoring in the sub-discipline areas within exercise science with particular emphasis on movement science, biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning, pedagogy, health and sport psychology. A range of units are offered to accommodate students from differing backgrounds while also permitting specialisation in the above sub-disciplinary areas within the field of exercise science. Research comprises over 66 per cent of the course.

Entry Requirements:

Relevant UWA bachelor degree with first class or second class honours with an average mark of at least 70%, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty; or a relevant UWA Graduate Diploma in Science with a research component of at least 50% of the course with an average mark of at least 70% in both the research and coursework components of the graduate diploma, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty. The Faculty may accept into the course an applicant who has completed the Graduate Diploma in Education with an average mark of 70% provided that the applicant's proposed thesis topic relates to pedagogy.
