Social research methods are vital across a range of disciplines. The Graduate Certificate will introduce students to key concepts in social research methods and offers an opportunity to develop skills through practical application. The course provides students with an understanding of the types of research techniques used in the social sciences. It also covers the range of methodological approaches and ethical considerations. Students will also learn how to craft a research project; how to identify sources of funding, and how to write and submit funding proposals. Examples of research from a range of disciplines are used to illustrate research strategies.
