University of the Sunshine Coast (USC)

This program allows students to gain a broad foundation in engineering and enabling sciences, before choosing to specialise studies in either construction or environment and water. Students develop skills in problem-solving, teamwork and communication, and gain technical, business management and scientific environmental knowledge. In this program, students build expertise in areas including environmental management, planning and restoration, managed ecosystems and marine science. Students also complete work experience over 60 days, examining current engineering professional practice with emphasis on the creative nature of engineering. At the end of their studies students will have the scientific skills needed to make judgements on the conservation and use of Australia's natural ecosystems and resources.

40 subjects comprising 11 introductory subjects, 21 advanced subjects plus 8 subject major. Students must complete 60 days of suitable field experience.
