The Associate Degree in Applied Science (Marine Environment) is offered by the IMAS (Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies) North and is available at Launceston. This course provides an innovative translational science approach to the educational experience in Australia with a broad introductory exposure to the areas of natural sciences, social sciences, technology, management and electives that include economics and policy, and law. Students choose two areas of study to specialise in from the five specialisations on offer: Aquaculture, Aquatic Science, Aquatic Biology, Fisheries Management, Marine Conservation.
