With this program students can take the next step to become a registered psychologist. The Master of Professional Psychology, plus one year of full-time supervised (independent) practice, will qualify students for a career as a Psychologist.

Entry Requirements:

Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four year bachelor degree within the last 10 years or equivalent (AQF Level 8) as well as be eligible for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. English Language Proficiency requirements for Category 4. Students must also provide two satisfactory Referee Reports; provide a 1-2 page report which addresses the Master of Professional Psychology Selection Criteria; and be assessed in a face-to-face (or via teleconferencing) interview with a panel of School staff. Before commencing the program, students must have Registration with Probationary Conditions or full registration from the Psychology Board of Australia.

All courses are offered as on-campus Saturday workshops. Note that a minimum number of 17.5 hours per week must be undertaken in order to meet Psychology Board of Australia registration requirements.


The Master of Professional Psychology has received accreditation with conditions from the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) as a fifth-year program in psychology. Graduates will be eligible to apply for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia after a further one year of full-time supervised practice. Graduates will also be able to apply for full membership to the Australian Psychological Society after a period of supervised practice.
