- Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with a competitive ATAR
- Or complete secondary education equivalent to SACE

- Complete a Certificate III or Certificate IV
- Qualify for Special Entry
- Complete a University Foundation Studies program
- And meet any pre-requisite and academic requirements. International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained the required standards prior to admission.

Applicants must undertake a musical audition with staff of the James Morrison Academy of Music as a minimum standard of musical performance is required to commence in the program. Applicants may attend a live audition or submit a recording to the Academy for assessment.
