Clinical Exercise Physiology graduates are in high demand in the exercise rehabilitation, health and fitness, and sport science industries. This program is designed to permit suitably qualified university graduates to meet the requirements for ESSA accreditation in just one and a half years of intensive study and clinical training. Only ESSA accredited Exercise Physiologists can provide exercise science services covered by Medicare (the national health care scheme), Work Cover and the Department of Veterans' Affairs. Students are provided with specialised skills and knowledge in exercise prescription and programming for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, injury prevention and exercise interventions. The program provides a comprehensive coverage of key pathologies including metabolic, cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, and acute conditions.
