The Master of Surgical Education is the industry leading course for surgeons who want to pass on their experience and knowledge to the next generation. Students will gain a foundation in educational practice for optimising surgical training in the complex sets of skills required for safe surgical practice.Offered through the Department of Surgery, in partnership with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), this course caters to the unique challenges of teaching and learning in diverse clinical settings and recognises the advanced technologies that are increasingly important in surgery and surgical training.Now with all subjects being delivered online, the Master of Surgical Education is designed with the flexibility to accommodate practising surgeons as they become world-class educators.

  • The Master in Surgical Education comprises of the successful completion of the subjects required for the Graduate Diploma, including the compulsory subject Research Methods in Surgical Education plus completion of the Minor Thesis - Surgical Education.
