The Bachelor of Communication in Advertising shapes and produces graduates with the skills, knowledge and creative and strategic edge needed to meet evolving challenges in the dynamic advertising and marketing communications industries. The degree addresses critical aspects of marketing communications with a particular focus on advertising, strategic brand management, and media and client relationships in domestic and international national contexts. It provides students with opportunities to understand advertising in the digital communication era through the application of relevant theory, and from a practical perspective through work-integrated-learning experience and professional internships. Employment opportunities for graduates are extensive - in advertising and communication agencies, as creative or account managers in corporations, in the media as advertising account executives or media planners, and in the marketing communications areas of public, private, community or not-for-profit organisations.

Honours is available. At the postgraduate level there are opportunities to undertake further study in related areas at the honours, masters and PhD levels.
