Core: Participate in work health and safety processes; Recognise plants; Treat weeds; Treat plant pests, diseases and disorders; Assist with soil or growing media sampling and testing. Elective: Operate and maintain stump grinding machines; Apply chemicals under supervision; Maintain properties and structures; Fabricate and repair metal or plastic structures; Operate quad bikes; Pot up plants; Care for nursery plants; Undertake propagation activities; plus more.

Established in 1965, Tocal College is a Registered Training Organisation (#91166) under the NSW Department of Primary Industries cluster, with campuses at Paterson (Hunter Valley) and Yanco (Riverina). The College provides training in agriculture and conservation and land management for full-time students and trainees, as well as Diploma, industry skills and RPL programs for farmers and others involved in agriculture, conservation and land management. Transferring your previous study credits Tocal provides credit for prior experience and courses completed at other RTOs. External study opportunities Diploma level study in Agriculture and Conservation and Land Management are available externally as online courses..
