The Hotel School

This program is designed for students who wish to gain a higher degree to help them secure senior management employment in tourism or hospitality organisations. It equips graduates with advanced business acumen, management skills and specialised industry knowledge considered essential for managerial-level graduates. Graduates will emerge as confident leaders, sensitive to complex issues and challenges that at times confront the global tourism and hotel industries. The program is flexible, enabling students to choose a study plan that matches their career path. Students study core business management units then select a range of specialised units relevant to their career path including tourism management, gaming management, hotel management and convention and event management.

Entry Requirements:

Bachelor degree; or equivalent academic or professional standing; or Graduate Diploma in International Tourism and Hotel Management


16 units, including optional industry internship and optional research project.

Exit points (intermediate awards): Graduate Diploma (8 units); and Graduate Certificate (4 units). Advanced standing may be granted to those who have successfully completed units that are equivalent in content, standard and duration to the units of this course.
