The Bachelor of Property Valuation is a three year professional degree that prepares graduates to work as a valuer in a wide range of property sectors, both private and public residential, commercial and public sectors, both in Australia and overseas. The Bachelor of Valuation is Australia's only specialist property valuation degree and has been developed with the support of professional valuation companies the Office of the NSW Valuer General, the NSW Office of Fair Trading and the Australian Property Institute.Further information about this course is available on the TAFE NSW Degrees website

Completion of this course requires you to successfully complete 24 subjects (240 credit points) made up of 21 core subjects and 3 elective subjects.

Standard entry requirements

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSApplicants are required to hold, at minimum, one of the following to be considered eligible for admission:- a NSW HSC (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent OR- a recognised Tertiary Preparation Certificate OR- a qualification from a Registered Training Organisation at Certificate IV level or above OR- the completion of at least one year full-time or equivalent in a degree course at a higher education institution.NOTEApplicants who have not studied mathematics at NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) level will be asked to complete a diagnostic test. If you do not display a sufficient level of mathematical attainment, you will need to complete a recognised bridging program before starting the course.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSIn addition to the minimum eligibility requirements all applicants are required to submit a 500 word essay and attend a pre-admission interview. The essay topic that you must address is: In your own words, describe the role and responsibilities of a property valuer. Tell us about your career goals and aspirations as a property valuation professional.INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTSInternational applicants must meet proof of eligibility and course entry requirements. In addition, international applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum IELTS level of 6.5 with a minimum level of 6 in any one band.
