The Graduate Certificate of Teleaudiology is designed to prepare students to practice in teleaudiology. This field of digital health uses electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support remote and distance clinical hearing health care. Learn how to assess communication difficulties, and advise, guide and recommend possible interventions to people with hearing difficulties. The course also offers students the skills and knowledge to work in roles in professional and public education, public health matters and health administration in hearing.
Structure
To qualify for the Graduate Certificate of Teleaudiology, students must complete 50 credit points comprising: 4 x Core units (50 credit points)
Standard entry requirements
Standard entry: Successful completion of an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Non-graduate special entry: A special entry provision is available for applicants without formal qualifications but who have significant relevant work experience (usually at least five years) and evidence of academic capability (e.g. successful completion of a non-cognate degree, a certificate or diploma course at a TAFE with high grades). The university may determine selection criteria and restrictions in respect of courses to apply in addition to these entry requirements. Other Requirements: All enrolled students must maintain a current Working with Children Check (from the appropriate State Authority).
