The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is a recognised degree enabling admission as a lawyer throughout Australia. This four-year degree can also be studied as a five-year double degree with either Arts, Business, Legal and Justice Studies, Psychological Science, Social Science or Sport and Exercise Science. The Bachelor of Laws and double degrees with law include on-campus workshops for both on-campus and online students.

Recommended: any 2 units of English, Year 12, TAFE and VET Awards (Complete Certificate III and above), Undergraduate and Postgraduate study, Work Experience (minimum of 1 year full time equivalent)


Students complete a total of 384 credit points (32 units) including a combination of compulsory and elective units. Some units are double weighted.

Students who are enrolled in the School's Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies) may apply to transfer into this degree and obtain advanced standing (subject to unit selection). Honours is awarded on the basis of superior performance in the course, plus the completion of Legal Research units.


The Bachelor of Laws fulfils the academic requirements for admission to the legal profession in Australia. Professional admission authorities require law graduates of all universities to complete practical legal training or similar to be eligible for admission.
