The Master of Business Information Technology is a cutting-edge postgraduate program addressing information technology applications in business organisations. It prepares graduates for careers in IT Management, E-Business, Information and Knowledge Management. It is supported by leading edge research addressing emerging IT issues and offers a broad range of electives to suit individual career aspirations. Graduates qualify to undertake challenging positions in business and government organisations, and act as catalysts of change in the IT focused, networked and digitised organisations.

Australian: $40,320
International: $67,200

Entry Requirements:

An Australian bachelor degree or equivalent, or higher level qualification, in a business (or related) discipline, from a recognised tertiary institution; or RMIT Graduate Certificate in Business Information Technology.

Structure:

192 credit points, which equals 16 courses (12 credit points each). If students are granted advanced standing, this will be reduced to 12 courses (12 credit points each).

Study Pathways:

This is an articulated program leading from graduate certificate to graduate diploma to master. Students can exit at these levels subject to successfully completing relevant subjects. Advanced standing applicants can complete the program in 1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time.

MBIT graduates work effectively in the public and private sectors. They are in the following positions at organisations in Australia and around the world: IT manager; IT consultant; chief information officer; e-business and e-procurement managers; business and systems analyst; system management analyst; database administrator; IT project manager; web developer; systems architect; and IT contract manager.

Recognition:

Australian Computer Society (ACS). This program is internationally recognised through the Seoul Accord.
