This course prepares students for work in the global marketplace with a particular focus on careers in marketing and related fields. Students will study the latest in business marketing theories to understand customers, design product and brand strategies, and inform decisions about pricing, promotion and distribution. Students will study core marketing and business subjects in the first two years. In third year, students undertake a compulsory work placement in industry. In the final year, a business design project is aimed at consolidating the theoretical and work experience components of the course, and there are opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge by undertaking other marketing specialisations such as retailing and societal marketing.

Structure

The program consists of 28 taught courses including core business and marketing courses, work-integrated learning courses, flexible courses, a one year compulsory industry placement and a business design project. The business design project in final year consolidates this practical experience, theory and your problem-solving skills.

Membership can provide you with pathways into post-university qualifications and access to professional networks valuable to your career development.
