Gain the skills needed to coordinate and manage projects from inception to completion in a degree that is relevant to all industries. This course was developed in reaction to the growing demand from industry for project management skills. The course provides a strong academic base for the management of all types of projects, including both construction and non-construction projects. The first year is common to the property and valuation, construction management and project management courses, enabling students to work collaboratively in activities and assessment around each of the discipline areas. Students also undertake three research related courses in the last 1.5 years of the course.

Entry Requirements:

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Units 3 and 4: satisfactory completion of any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.


Year 1 - You will be introduced to project management in the construction and property industries, providing the context for the following 3 years. You will learn basic project management skills and gain an understanding of the different types of buildings and assets, how they are created and how they are acquired. Year 2 - You will study project management processes and techniques in greater depth, learning how to plan, cost and schedule projects. Building broader skills in areas like law, economics and leadership will equip you to become an industry leader. Year 3- Year 3 broadens your focus and looks at project management in other industries, building core project management knowledge and skills. Year 4 - The theme of your final year is 'moving to practice', preparing you to be industry-ready. You will gain advanced skills and insights into the latest trends in industry.

Graduates of the following programs are eligible for up to 1 year of exemptions: Diploma of Building and Construction (Building); Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural).


This program is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which is recognised worldwide. We are also seeking professional accreditation from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
