This program enables students to undertake a course which balances the development of clinical skills with theoretical study. Foundation studies build students' knowledge in key areas of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and will introduce students to professional nursing practice and contemporary healthcare service. Students will also develop an understanding of pharmacology with an emphasis on quality use of medicines. During the course students undertake periods of clinical practice to prepare them for transition to the role of a registered nurse.
