This program provides a modern and rigorous training in mathematics to prepare students both for graduate careers in industry and government as well as for honours and postgraduate research work. It provides students with a mathematics degree that clearly defines paths of study associated with different graduate outcomes in order to meet the wide range of employment possibilities open to mathematics graduates. Students are offered the opportunity to complete a degree that is heavily mathematical through the inclusion of second major and minor options in mathematics and statistics or allows flexibility to study units from another area of interest, such as science, business or information technology.
