Diploma of Dental Technology

This qualification is part of the Health Training Package. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to work as a registered dental technician. It covers the construction and repair of dentures and other dental appliances including crowns, bridges, partial dentures, pre- and post-oral and maxillofacial surgical devices, and orthodontic appliances. They work in dental laboratories on their own or in small groups, under the prescription of dentists.
