This course focuses on the development of spoken and written language skills required to continue with vocational or higher education studies. It develops the skills for learners to participate in a range of further study contexts. The course takes an integrated approach, covering listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. It gives students the opportunity to practice study skills such as planning and drafting essays, participating in tutorial discussions, giving oral presentations, listening to lectures and reading a range of academic texts in preparation for further education courses in English.
