Standard entry requirements

At the time of enrolment in a course at Monash University, you must be at least 17 years of age.All Monash undergraduate courses require you to have successfully completed a minimum of an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) and achieve the required academic entry score. Most Monash faculties generally use your most recent studies for admission however other guidelines may apply where your prior qualification may be considered.

Recognition

As a graduate, students may be eligible to apply for registration as a nutritionist through the Nutrition Society of Australia, the peak body recognising the highest professional standards in nutrition. The Bachelor of Nutrition Science at Monash is the only program in Australia accredited with The UK Association for Nutrition (AfN). Graduates are eligible to register as Associate Nutritionist in the UK and recognised in the UK and Europe for employment.

Study pathways

The Bachelor of Nutrition Science (Scholars program) provides a direct guaranteed pathway into the Master of Dietetics. Students must successfully complete the course with an average grade of distinction or above.

Further information

Students who would like to further their academic career may wish to consider taking for the Master of Dietetics at Monash. On completion of the Bachelor of Nutrition Science at Monash University, students will be eligible to apply for entry into the Master of Dietetics. As a Monash Nutrition Science graduate, this program can be completed in only 18 months (three semesters).
