To give you these critical skills, we've worked closely with industry experts to create our Master of Financial Analysis (Financial Risk Management). Gain core skills in financial analysis and valuation, then develop your specialisation in financial risk and portfolio management. Learn in a trading room equipped with Bloomberg Terminals, then use them for your personal research and to obtain the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certificate. You'll learn: International financial markets Explain and critically evaluate theories that underpin the operation of financial markets. Security valuation and portfolio management Analyse financial information and value a range of financial securities using the Bloomberg Terminal.

Structure

The structure comprises foundation, core and elective subjects. Students will complete 16 subjects worth 15 credit points each. The course structure is built on 3 modules of study: foundation module, core module, elective module.

Standard entry requirements

  • An Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification
  • Admission may be granted to applicants without an undergraduate degree but with five or more years of relevant work experience

Applicants with demonstrated prior learning in business, either in the form of an undergraduate degree in a business related field or with at least five years relevant business experience, will be eligible to apply for Advanced Standing for the four subjects of the first semester of the course. In making an offer of Advanced Standing to an applicant, the university may give consideration to a range of factors including academic record and employment experience.
