Community planning and development is about shaping and working with cities, towns and rural areas to improve them as places to live physically, socially and economically. This program is designed specifically to provide training in the discipline, creating a pathway into the profession. It emphasises contemporary issues such as change facilitation, sustainable development, climate change, indigenous communities and water management within the context of a changing society in both urban and rural areas.

Structure

Learning utilises both external study, online and conventional class-based delivery in block mode with a series of two-day (usually Friday and Saturday) lectures, workshops and tutorials.

  • Applicants who do not possess a degree but who produce evidence of equivalent academic ability and/or appropriate professional experience may be admitted at the discretion of the course coordinator
