Learn how to provide essential oral healthcare with La Trobe's accredited Bachelor of Oral Health Science. Studying in an inter- and intradisciplinary setting, you'll develop your professional practice at Australia's largest rural health school. Your scope of practice includes dental therapy treatments to patients of all ages. Note: You'll need to complete your Level 1 First Aid/CPR certification, get your required vaccinations, and provide a current police check and Working with Children Check before starting this degree. Standard entry requirements
- Recent secondary education - VTAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (25) - Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
- Non Year 12 - Vocational Education & Training: VET prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
- Non Year 12 - Higher Education study: HE prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

The Bachelor of Oral Health Science is accredited by the Australian Dental Council.Graduates of the Bachelor of Oral Health Science may be eligible to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia. Students must also undergo a review of immunisation status before commencing clinical placements, as this is a prerequisite for placements at some venues. Please note that students may be required to relocate to various clinical facilities as part of their clinical placement. Students can study this course through La Trobe's Regional Reward. This course has limited opportunities for entry with advanced standing. Applicants may apply for entry including previous tertiary study, but offers may not include advanced standing for all previous subjects.
