Structure

To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Psychological Science, students must complete 480 credit points consisting of: 480 core credit-points (including 800 hours of clinical placement)

Standard entry requirements

  • Recent secondary education (within the last two years)
  • VCE: Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Recognition

The Bachelor of Nursing is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council. The Bachelor of Psychological Science (MEL) is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. Professional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia will require an APAC-accredited fourth year and additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree as well as an application to the professional body. Contact the relevant professional body for details Graduates of the Bachelor of Psychological Science (MEL) may apply for membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details. Graduates of the Bachelor of Nursing may be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a nurse.
