This program will give students a rounded professional architectural education with strength in design-research. Students choose to focus on sustainable design, urban design, history/theory or design practice. The research-based approach to architectural design in this degree will help develop the capacity to pose original questions and to investigate, analyse and appraise current information and understandings. Research-led design will underpin career-long self-directed learning of a critical-reflective nature.

Entry Requirements:

Pathway degree in architecture (GPA 5.0); or Griffith BEnvDes(Arch) (GPA 4.5) across the second and third years of study in core architecture courses; or Pathway degree in architecture or Griffith BEnvDes(Arch) with lower GPAs and relevant experience. English language requirements apply

This program is the entry-level qualification for the architecture profession and as such is a terminal degree. Through inclusion of 40 credit points of dedicated research in the final trimester of study, graduates will be eligible for consideration for higher-degree-research enrolment.
