This program provides an alternative route for entry into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program for applicants who do not possess the required qualifications for direct admission.

Entry Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in a related discipline from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum grade point average of 4.5 (using a 7.0 point scale) over the last two years of the Bachelor degree; OR hold a Masters degree in a related discipline from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum grade point average of 4.5 (using a 7.0 point scale).

Students who have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Information Technology (and have achieved a grade point average of 5.0 or higher with a grade of 5 in the dissertation component) are eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program. Students who have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Research Studies in Information Technology (and have achieved a grade point average of 5.5 or higher with a grade of 6 in the dissertation component) are eligible to apply for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.
