Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Information Technology

Griffith University

This program will develop a solid knowledge of the increasing reliance of science on computing and information technology in collecting, storing and analysing large volumes of data. It also covers computationally intensive simulations of new physical phenomena on supercomputers, visual exploration of large data sets, and informational retrieval and communication via the internet and data mining. Core subjects will introduce students to areas such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, information systems, and computer programming. Students will also undertake work integrated learning to gain first-hand experience in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to work in the industry or to work in a team to analyse, develop and implement an effective solution to a computer-based information system or software development problem.
