In this integrated vertical degree, students will gain a thorough grounding in the application of clinical, development, biological, cognitive, social, and organisational psychology. Students will then build on this broad knowledge base with studies in the growing specialist area of mental health practice. They will learn the latest evidence-based research and specialised knowledge about health services for people with mental illness. They will collaborate with consumers, carers, and mental health professionals in their studies so that they are prepared for a profession in various settings where mental health knowledge is essential.

Study Pathways:

A further year of study that leads to the award of Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours is available to students who meet the specified requirements for admission to the Honours program. Students who have successfully completed the Master of Mental Health Practice may be eligible for admission to the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) subject to the specified requirements for candidature in the Higher Degree Research Policy.
