The Bachelor of Applied Information Technology is a unique program with an emphasis on employability, entrepreneurship and experience. This program provides you with core and relevant applied IT skills with a specific focus on getting you job-ready.You will be given the opportunity to use your skills in a variety of work placement/work integrated learning roles that will provide you with exposure to actual IT companies.From 2020, you will have the choice of studying topics such as:Programming Robotics Human-Computer Interaction Data Management App DevelopmentSensor NetworksVirtual and Augmented RealityYou can also choose one of two majors (IoT and Robotics or Programming for Visualisation and Entertainment) and select from a range of elective courses.Throughout the program, you will grow your employability skills and develop entrepreneurial thinking through formal classes and substantial practical experiences. The series of practical projects for industry or research placement, completed in second and third year, provide first-hand experience of knowledge, skills and other capabilities required to succeed in full-time employment.The program gets you to think entrepreneurially about how you can use your applied IT skills to maximise your potential with your employer or to even start-up your own business venture.
