The Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry) offers an accelerated undergraduate nursing program of study and aims to prepare students to become nurses who have a clear understanding of the professional requirement to be a nurse, are reflective about their practice and have well-developed clinical reasoning skills. Nursing encompasses autonomous and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Modern nurses play an important role in health promotion, maintenance and education, as well as in traditional patient care and the restoration of health.

Entry Requirements:

Non-nursing Bachelor degree or equivalent;


The program is highly structured and combines clinical practice with topics addressing ethics, law, psychosocial health, mental health, Indigenous health, evidence-based practice and the biophysical sciences. All students are required to undertake clinical placements which may include morning and evening shifts, and are undertaken in agencies and hospitals throughout metropolitan and rural South Australia.

Placements will require student complete a statement of fitness for practice; Police Clearance Certificate and an up to date immunisation record.


Graduates of this course are eligible to apply to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse. This degree is also accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
