Bachelor of Midwifery (Post Registration) (Registered Midwife)

This course offers registered midwives, who hold a current practising certificate, the opportunity to update their knowledge and skills gained from midwifery practice into a midwifery degree.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants must (1) be a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and (2) hold a current certificate of registration.


Students complete core (compulsory) topics including Building Research Skills for Midwives; Clinical Pharmacology and Midwives as Agents of Change. The degree extends the basis of midwifery practice through the development of knowledge and critical reflection. This degree does not involve clinical placements.
