International relations and political science is a degree for students with an interest in political and social questions that arise where they live and overseas. You’ll gain a comprehensive grounding in politics, public policy and international relations, and an understanding of Australia’s political system in a regional and global context.

Structure

Students will complete six core topics in the first year, and four core topics in the second and third year, in areas such as international relations and politics. Core topics include: Fundamentals of Public Policy, International Relations: An Introduction, Nationalism, Populism & Democracy, Policy Design, Visions of Global Order, Critical Approaches to International Relations, and Australian Foreign Policy. Students are also able to choose option topics in complementary disciplines such as politics and american studies, as well as in international relations and government.
