In this course students will examine the science of coaching as well as the practical elements of encouraging participation and performance in sport. They'll also learn about sport pathways and coaching, and the marketing and management of sport, turning their passion for sport into a rewarding career.

Entry Requirements:

Applicants are required to have successfully completed the Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent. Prerequisites are units 3 and 4 a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English. Those who do not satisfy normal entrance requirements, but can demonstrate relevant work or life experience, are mature-age or who otherwise fall within the categories specified under the Deakin Access and Equity Program are also welcome to apply.

Structure:

24 credit points: 10 credit points of Business and Law core units, 10 credit points of Health core units and 4 credit points of elective units and a zero credit point safety induction unit (HSE010) and one zero credit point academic integrity unit.
