This course is designed to prepare students for entry to the multi-disciplinary subsea engineering profession. It has been developed in close collaboration with the subsea industry to ensure the syllabus is comprehensive enough to develop a skill set that meets industry needs. It provides a broad based study of offshore oil and gas development and an in-depth study on subsea infrastructure and production systems.

Standard entry requirements

Specifically, applicants must have passed honours or 4-year equivalent bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline with excellent academic standing from a recognised university. Students who have completed a Graduate Diploma in Subsea Engineering may apply to enter the Master of Subsea Engineering course after successfully completing the Graduate Diploma program.

Recognition

The course has been designed to meet the requirements of Engineers Australia for registration as a Chartered Subsea Engineer.

Students who have completed a Graduate Diploma in Subsea Engineering may apply to enter the Master of Subsea Engineering course and can apply for credit for recognised learning for successfully completed units.
