The Graduate Diploma of Tactical Medicine will provide students with the knowledge, the clinical skills and clinical reasoning required to deal with the complex challenges of treating acute critically ill or injured patients in dynamic and high threat environments. Students will learn to assess, plan, prepare and implement strategies for successful operations and patient management within a tactical environment. As well as gaining new clinical knowledge, students will further develop assessment and diagnostic skills and interventions in the management of diverse population groups. Similar to the Graduate Certificate in Tactical Medicine, this course will be of interest to clinicians involved with mass casualty and terrorist attack response plans, search and rescue, or remote and wilderness medical support services.

Standard entry requirements
- Applicants are required to provide evidence of a minimum of 2 years independent experience in a clinical setting relevant to their below qualification
- AND a completed Australian Bachelor of Paramedic Science, or Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent
- OR a completed Australian Advanced Diploma, Intensive Care Paramedic, or equivalent qualification in advanced practice
- OR a completed Australian Diploma of Paramedic Science
- OR current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a Registered Nurse.
