This course provides students with the skills and knowledge required to undertake work across a wide range of activities in technology fields which are emerging and for which presently no qualifications are available. Students learn about design and development of motor control circuits, pneumatics control and automation, PLC programs and SCADA.

Core: Select common engineering materials; Apply OHS regulations, codes and practices in the workplace; Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components; Use of routine equipment/plant/technologies in an energy sector environment; Apply mathematics in an integrated technology context; Implement an integrated technology project; Apply computer tools and networking in an integrated technology context. Plus electives.
