This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It provides a general vocational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production, cropping or livestock context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both cropping and livestock. Industry expects individuals with this qualification to perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications applied in a wide variety of contexts, which may involve application of some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.

Entry Requirements:

Entrants must be employed as an apprentice or trainee prior to enrolling.

16 units: 2 core; 14 elective

Elective: Comply with industry animal welfare requirements; Administer medication to livestock; Operate machinery and equipment; Transport and store chemicals; Prepare and apply chemicals; Monitor weather conditions; Carry out basic hoof care procedures; Educate, ride and care for horses and equipment; Prevent and treat equine injury and disease; Assess suitability of horses for stock work; plus more.

BJ Network Consulting Australia is a Registered Training Organisation that provides training in business, management, asset maintenance, retail, hospitality, training and assessment, and warehousing.
